The highly anticipated official action figures based on the huge hit game HALO 3 certainly had big shoes to fill after the superb range of action figures that were made available for the second game, and McFarlane Toys, the famous manufacturers of licensed memorabilia, stepped up to the challenge with style. The figures for Halo 3 are considerably smaller and more practical than their Halo 2 Forebears, but no details have been missed in their construction.

The first wave of officially licensed Halo 3 action figures to be produced by McFarlane were supplied in sealed plastic clamshell packaging with a great selection of game authentic weapons and accessories. Sculpted in sturdy plastic and featuring several points of articulation per figure, they were an instant hit upon their release in early 2008.

The second wave of these awesome action figures followed in June 2008, but this time the figures were packed in standard cardboard backed blister packs following some fans finding the series 1 clamshells rather difficult to open. The second wave proved to be even more popular than the first, including several variations in colour for the Spartans.

A third wave of Halo 3 action figures is due for release from McFarlane in August 2008.
